News & Updates From Head to Wind

Now That My Book's Out...3

Talk about feedback. I’m getting lots of it these days, especially from friends who’ve read the book. Things like…

“Now I know what you’ve been talking about all these years!”

“I’m a slow reader. I like reading short chapters.”

(Several chapters are half a page long.)

“The print is too small. There are too many exclamation points!”

“Just bought a copy. It might be the one that puts you on the Best Seller list!”

“A mentor is so important. It gives you confidence. I never had one.”

(This refers to the chapter about my internship.)

“It is a good, unique read with not too much information. It moves along episodically.”

“I read a chapter a night.”

“It reads like you’re talking to me while sitting on the porch.”

“Have two copies. Should I give one to an older friend or a younger one?”

(Get another copy. Both friends will like it.)

Three Most Asked Questions

“What are you working on?”

            (Marketing the book.)

“How’s the book?”

(Depends on how you define “how.”)

“Any interest in writing another book?”

(If you hear me talk about it, have me committed.)

A funny thing happened to me the other day when I was driving out of the library parking lot. Someone shouts to me from across the way. I put down my window and spot the fellow. He’s stepping up into his truck. “What else you got?” he yells.
