What Else Is Great about Library Talks?
Well, it COULD be that they’re free. Or that they draw a wide diversity from the community. Or that the people who come are interesting and ask interesting questions. Or that the librarians are GREAT at pairing books with people and authors with people. Or that all this is FREE!
Mary Saner recently talked with a lively group at the Kent County Public Library about what it’s like to crawl on all fours with a mic in hand to capture someone else’s voice for NPR, or to watch a bat crawl around inside the shirt of the woman she is in the process of interviewing.
Saner’s recent memoir/how-to, What Else You Got? Freelancing in Radio, has been a hit with all who have heard her speak and who have subsequently bought the book.
She’s got more appearances coming up this fall and spring. Check back.
